REÅLEA (rey-á-lee-a) is Alchemical Skincare™ and Alchemical Wellness™. We are two guys out to revolutionize the skincare industry. We are based in the San Geronimo Valley in Marin County, Northern California, and make personal care, wellness, and beauty products rooted in a uniquely modern synthesis of global traditions of medicinal alchemy.

Founder & Head of Product
Nick Grossenbacher is an alchemist, product formulator, herbalist, historian and bookbinder. Nick has immersed himself in studies of herbalism and traditional healing with regional experts throughout the world, and is a graduate of the Spagyricus School of Alchemy in Washington under esteemed alchemist Robert Bartlett. His studies of traditional medicine have taken him to India, the Middle East, the Balkans, Guatemala and Scotland. He holds a B.A. in History from the University of Southern California and an M.A. in Medieval Middle Eastern History from the University of Washington.

Cofounder & CEO
Crispin Clarke has a diverse background in software product development and management, clinical mental health agency executive administration, and nonviolence education social services programs. He is a student of history and a Shakespeare scholar. He first applied the precursor of the REÅLEA Aurora balm to the omnipresent minor wounds he has on his waistline from continuously wearing an insulin pump due to his Type 1 diabetes, and soon thereafter noticed significant improvements in his skin's healing. Becoming a yoga teacher in 2019 and then with the impacts of the pandemic in 2020, gave him the opportunity to re-imagine his career. After experiencing the effectiveness of Nick's inventions and discovering the significance of the ancient alchemical tradition, as well as being someone with a long-time recognition of the importance for humanity to live harmoniously with the Earth, he's honored to support the great technical talents and wisdom of his co-founder while weaving in his own alchemy and skill set. He holds a B.A. in Sociology & Anthropology from Swarthmore College, PA.
