NICHOLAS GROSSENBACHER, Founder & Head of Product
Nick Grossenbacher is an alchemist, product formulator, herbalist, historian and bookbinder. Nick has immersed himself in studies of herbalism and traditional healing with regional experts throughout the world, and is a graduate of the Spagyricus School of Alchemy in Washington under esteemed alchemist Robert Bartlett. His studies of traditional medicine have taken him to India, the Middle East, the Balkans, Guatemala and Scotland. He holds a B.A. in History from the University of Southern California and an M.A. in Medieval Middle Eastern History from the University of Washington.

Crispin Clarke has a diverse background in software product development and management, as a clinical mental health agency executive director, and nonviolence education social services program developer. He first applied the precursor of Nick's Aurora balm to the chronic minor wounds he must inflict on his waistline from continuously wearing an insulin pump due to his Type 1 diabetes--and soon thereafter was very impressed to notice significant improvements in his skin's healing. Becoming a yoga teacher in 2019 and then in the changed world brought on by the pandemic in 2020, he leapt at the opportunity to work again with physical handmade natural products like he used to do as a ceramic artist. He worked previously for many years in the nonprofit sector and is thrilled now to be on a public benefit corporation mission with its high standards. He holds a B.A. in Sociology & Anthropology from Swarthmore College, PA. He is also a Shakespeare scholar. He's now a passionate new student of alchemy.
